Antigravity Re-Start Lithium Battery Install
For Husqvarna 701 and KTM 690
If you plan to log some big miles and want to be sure you don't get surprised by a dead battery far from everywhere, or if you just want to loose a few pounds without cutting out the snacks, then this antigravity re-start battery is a great solution for both. On the Husqvarna 701 enduro and it's sibling the KTM 690 you will need to make a couple little modifications to properly fit this battery and preserve easy access to Antigravity's little magic re-start button without tools. The Antigravity re-start battery has battery management technology that helps protect the battery from over-drawing and over charging. It is also 70% lighter than lead acid batteries with a significantly better shelf life than stock batteries. Most riders can go all winter with just one good charge, and many riders I talk to get away with not charging at all in the off season. Although for me, I always feel better when I hook up the trickle charger every eight weeks or so. Nevertheless, as with all lithium batteries, be sure to ONLY use a charger designed for Lithium Batteries. Regular lead acid battery chargers can damage the cells in the battery!
This battery is available from a variety of retailers and also direct from Antigravity Batteries.com.
